everything, everywhere, is bound to a certain form. everything done in life seems to adhere itself to one shape of design through its accomplishments. these shapes can be viewed from any number of ways; depending on how your creativity elaborates it or simplifies it. i'm using simple shapes as a base reference, so don't take them like they're engraved in stone. these shapes can be blown up as far as the analogy extends; encompassing the brain, corporate strategy, the earth, or whatever else you see fit to be represented in them. it seems as though the center shape of life, the one that everything comes back to is the circle, representing origin and security. forms which are self-fulfilling, like physics, have a circular shape. another way to view this is the fractal design - the more effort you put into looking into it, the more you realize it's the same. everything else in the world is abstracted by some sense. this form of sbsraction is what gives the form its shape, and gives the peice of art its respective presence. forms which have an odd or misshapen construct to them do not work, unless looked at by another angle which depicts them as having shape after all. this is what i call layered art. i've said before art is what snaps you into its own form of abstractness and can snap you back out of it (the release - coming from seeing the truth in it (graffiti - seeing the words through the fucked up art is the release, knowing the words are there is the initial snap) ) this abstraction's sape will determine what parts of the mind it will travel from and to. for example, take for granted that the circle is a set point in your mind, representing fixed focused thought. the abstract sape will at certain points come closer to the center (reality) and further away (fantasy), throwing the brain off in a certain pattern. like i said before, if the pattern isn't desirable (charismatic), it won't be looked upon unless the person tries to see into it. if successful, however, it will breach the mind's previous notion of reality and the interpretation factor will brgin all over again. the shape that has ends, such as a square or any other polygon, resembles
a point in life where certain steps must be taken or rules must be followed
in order to attain the self-fulfilling truth the circle has by nature.
-- one of the points of this is you can live and experience these shapes
in any situation or environment.. people have gotten as far as i have (and
farther) through their own life experiences. the only difference is that
i am drilling holes right through the middle of forms by directly taking
account of what they mean (taking the long way around by writing about
them from the ground up - pushed learning in Zen g),
as opposed to something like a story that dishes out a little slice of
life at the end (its moral) and leaves you to explore the truth in it for
yourself. the difference between what i'm doing and drawing zen from
experience is that no matter how hard you try to focus on a life event,
it'll end up at with the mind. with me, the barriers of the mind are only
the beginning.
this hit me while listening to the first underground theme in the genny version of shadow of the beat. psygnosis kicks ass. |
